Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain especially high-density picture with minute thermal energy at low temperature, bt blending specified phthalate esters in a thermal color- developing layer. CONSTITUTION:A compound shown by formulaIor II (wherein R1, R2 are alkyl of C1-9, substituted or unsubstituted phenyl, benzyl or cyclohexyl; R3 is H or halogen), e.g., dicyclohexyl phthalate or diphenyl phthalate, is incorporated in a thermal color-development layer comprising leuco dye, acid materials consisting of an organic acid and phenolic material, and a binder. Into the thermal color- developing layer are added fine powder of calcium carbonate, silica, etc. and a lubricant such as linseed oil and paraffin, whereby the running property of a thermal head can be improved.
