Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an ignition apparatus that has a multiple construction whose effect can be fully exhibited, by igniting completely simultaneously a plurality of ignition plugs arranged in every cylinder using a single oscillation type sensor. CONSTITUTION:A rectangular wave output Ss of a wave-shaping circuit 8 based on a detecting coil 5 is directly, or after amplified via an amplifying circuit 8', added to primary side switching circuits 9, 9' of ignition coils. The switching circuits 9, 9' are simultaneously opened every time when the rectangular wave output Ss is made OFF, a high voltage is generated in secondary windins of two ignition coils 10, 10', and distribution brushes 11, 11' ignite ignition plugs 1, 1', and 2, 2' alternatively through terminals 1a, 1a', and 2a, 2a'.
