Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture superthin cases for quartz oscillators with low cost and large quantities, by patterning one thin metallic plate member in through- hole shape with polyimide resin and achieving airtight sealing with another thin metallic plate member. CONSTITUTION:Two small holes are provided to a substrate 6 made of thin metallic plates, and a polyimide resin 8 is coated to the small holes in through- hole shape. On the resin 8, a thin metallic film 9 is adhered on the through-holes with vapor deposition or sputtering, and a soft thin metallic film 10 is adhered on the metallic thin film 9 with vapor deposition or sputtering in through-hole shape to close the holes of the substrate 6 in airtight. The substrate of a tuning fork type quartz bar 5 is melt-stuck to said metallic film 10 for support. The substrate 6 bonded with the tuning fork type quartz bar 5 is overlapped with a cover 7 made of the thin metallic plate for the external circumference and ring- welded under vacuum, allowing to achieve air tightness.
