Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent any variation of gas pressure in tube bulbs even if the volumes of gas sealing members may vary, by connecting a gas storage container with a greatly larger volume than that of gas sealing members of tube bulbs directly to the gas sealing members, by means of a switching valve. CONSTITUTION:The gas supply from a gas cylinder 11 to gas storage container 14 through a pressure setting valve 12 is discontinued by closing an upstream valve 13. Then, a downstream valve 15 is opened to connect the gas storage containr 14 directly to a gas sealing member 16, and the gas pressures in both devices are equalized before the gas is sealed in the sealing member 16. Where, the volume of the sealing member is greatly smaller than that of the gas storage container 14, and therefore the variation of the gas pressure is greatly reduced regardless of the variation of volume of the sealing member 16. Thus, regardless of the variation of volume of the sealing member 16 which is generated in the manufacturing process of the sealing member 16, the gas can be sealed without variation of gas pressure in the sealing member 16.
