Abstract
PURPOSE: To protect an output transistor, by providing a switching transistor, which is connected to the base of the output transistor and is operated by an ASO detection signal, in the Darlington-driven class "B" push-pull output circuit.
CONSTITUTION: The output of an amplifying circuit 1 of the first stage is amplified by a transistor TRQ19 and a TRQ16 provided through diodes Q23∼Q25 to control a class "B" push-pull output circuit. An ASO detecting circuit 2 is provided in the output of a TRQ28, and the output of the circuit 2 is given to a TRQ2 through a switch control circuit 3 to turn off forcedly the TRQ16, and thus, TRs Q27 and Q28 are protected; and a switching TRQ32 controlled by the ASO signal is provided between the base of the TRQ28 and a reference potential 0V. Therefore, even if a leak current exists during the protecting operation of the TRQ2, the leak current is absorbed to perform a sure protecting operation by the TRQ32. Otherwise, a high resistance is provided between bases and emitters of TRs Q15 and Q16 instead of the TRQ32.
