Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to protect the output transistors without narrowing the operating area of the output stage, by cutting off the transistors of OTL output circuit with the control circuit operated with the output signal of the two voltage comparison circuits. CONSTITUTION:The voltage comparison circuits 4, 5 and control circuit 6 are provided. Further, the switches 8, 9 of the switch circuit 7 are simultaneously operated, the part between the collector and ground of drive transistor TRQ3 is shortened to cut off the output TRQ4 and the part between the collector and ground of the polarity conversion TRQ5 is shortened to cut off other output TRQ6. Accordingly, when the output terminal (g) is shortened with the line of the power supply voltage VCC, the circuit 4 is activated, and if the terminal (g) is shortened with ground, the circuit 5 is operated. Further, the output signal at the output terminal (k) or (l), operated the circuit 7 via the circuit 6 to cut off TRQ4, Q6 for the protection.
