Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a malfunction during a switch between the sound recording and reproduction, by discharging the electric charge of a capacitor in a time constant circuit connected to the base of a transistor that decides the gain of an automatic gain control circuit when no automatic gain control is required. CONSTITUTION:A change-over is carried out by the switches 3, 7, 10 and 13 between the reproduction amplifying system comprising the amplifiers 2 and 11 and the record amplifying system comprising the amplifiers 6 and 14. These switches are actuated by a change-over circuit 8. A transistor Q3 is turned on during a reproduction, i.e., when only the switches 3 and 10 are turned on with no use required for an automatic gain control circuit 16, and thus discharges the electric charge of a capacitor C9. Accordingly the voltage of capacitor C9 in a time constant circuit has no rise regardless of a consecutive change-over between the recording and reproduction. As a result, an output can be produced instantaneously.
