Abstract

PURPOSE:To form the unitary body of the cushion pads and the synthetic resin frame securely and rigidly, by forming the synthetic resin frame by bonding a parison to the inside of the cushion pads which are contacted with molds in a hollow molding machine. CONSTITUTION:The cushion pads 5a and 5b which are formed by urethane and the like are inserted in the molds 2 and 3 of the molding machine 1 so that the pads are contacted with the molds 2 and 3, respectively. The cushion pad 5 of a head rest can be constituted by said pads 5a and 5b when the molds 2 and 3 are closed. A head rest stay 7 is fixed to the lower part of the mold 3. Under this state the parison 12 comprising the heated and melted thermoplastic synthetic resin is extruded from a die 11, the molds 2 and 3 are closed, and compressed air is blown from an air blowing hole 13. The parison 12 is compressed to the inside of the pads 5a and 5b that are closely contacted with the molds 2 and 3 and molded along the molds 2 and 3. Thus the synthetic resin head rest frame 14 having a specified shape is formed.
