Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease the loss generated by reflection between the structure material by inserting an antireflection body between the structure materials of ultrasonic wave vibrator. CONSTITUTION:In a case 1 for housing, a piezo-electric body 4 which provides signal electrode 2 and ground electrode 3 on the both surfaces, a converging lens 5 for transmission of focused ultrasonic wave and a antireflection body 6 which is placed between the piezo-electric body 4 and the converging lens 5 and closely adhered to the both bodies, are located, and also, on the concave surface of the front of the converging lens, antireflection material 7 is disposed closely contacting with it. A packing material 8 for sound wave absorption closely contacts with the signal electrode 2 installed on the piezo-electric body 4 and a cable 9 for transmission of signal is housed in a case 1. In general, materials of the piezo-electric body 4 and the converging lens 5 are different and intrinsic acoustic impedances are also different. Then, if the both are closely placed, reflection is generated when an ultrasonic wave is propageted. Consequently, as an antireflection body 6 is placed between them, the intermediate value of the both acoustic impedance is selected.
