Abstract
PURPOSE:To simply establish the ultrasonic wave delay line less in unnecessary signals. CONSTITUTION:The ultrasonic absorbing material 14 made of metal or resin is attached to the glass side surface of the delay media 1 other than the ultrasonic propagation paths A to D,A',B' to obtain the main signal. When the material having close audio impedance as the delay media 1 is selected as the absorbing material, it is convenient with reduced reflection of ultrasonic waves inside the glass from the glass side surface. When inputting signal to the terminals 6 and 8, output is picked up from the terminals 8 and 9, and when the surface 15 of the absorbing material 15 is shaped little by little while observing, the ultrasonic waves are scattered depending on the degree and position of shaping. When unnecessary signal observed as output signal is minimized, the shaping of the surface 5 is stopped. With this method, the material having suitable hardness can be selected to the absorbing material, the chip and crack of the absorbing material can be prevented, and more fine tuning can be made than polishing the glass side surface.
