Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide self-lubricity and a low coefft. of friction to the metallic surface of a material made of metal or alloy by depositing molecules of synthetic resin in micropores formed in the surface of the material.
CONSTITUTION: An anodic oxide film is formed on the surface of an electrically conductive material made of carbon steel, stainless steel, Al alloy, Mg alloy or the like, and the material having many micropores formed by the anodic oxidation in an internally metallic state is then coated with copolymer resin consisting of fluororesin and silicon resin by electrophoresis. In other method the surface of the material is etched to produce fine unevenness of the grain unit of the metal or alloy, and it is anodically oxidized. This material is then dipped in a hot bath consisting of fluororesin and silicone resin and calcined by heating.
