Abstract
PURPOSE: To make the production of solution quenched material moldings of arbitrary shapes on an industral scale with good accuracy by pressurizing and cooling the liquid drops of molten material from both sides with two rotary cooling bodies.
CONSTITUTION: Material is melted in a vessel 18 with a heater 21, and rotary cooling bodies 7, 8 and the disc 19 of a liquid drop injector are rotated synchronously. When the liquid drops 2 of the molten material are injected intermittently downward on a line l, the drops 2 enter the inside of hollow dies just before the hollow dies are closed by the surfaces of the cooling body 13 of a rotary cooling body 8. The liquid drops 2 entering the inside of the hollow dies are sealed immediately in the hollow dies by the rotation of the bodies 7, 8, and are pressurized and quickly cooled from both sides, whereby they are molded to a solution quenched material of a prescribed shape. The moldings 9 are removed from the hollow dies successively with a removing device 24. The hollow molds discharged of the moldings 9 go through a liquid injecting nozzle 25, a coolant injecting nozzle 26, etc. to be ready for the teeming of the next liquid drops 2.
