Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the easy measurement of the temperature of a target even if an X-ray enclosure is made of a metal cylinder, by providing a temperature sensor outside the enclosure and providing an observation hole in the part of a heat radiation intercepting plate, which is opposed to the sensor. CONSTITUTION:A target 3 is secured on one end of a rotatable anode 2. A cathode 4 is provided so that it is opposed to the target 3. These member 2, 3, 4 are housed in an X-ray enclosure whose central part is made of a metal cylinder 5 and whose end parts are made of glass tubes 6, 7. An infrared temperature sensor 12 is provided outside the glass tube 6 so that the sensor is opposed to the back of the target 3. An observation hole 10a is provided in the part of a heat radiation intercepting plate 10, which is opposed to the sensor 12. According to this constitution, the temperature of the target 3 can be easily measured even if the X-ray tube is made of the metal cylinder 5. This results in enabling the control of input load for X-rays.
