Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of an electric device by providing an automatic pressure control valve at the electric device to be installed on a sea bottom or the like, releasing externally the pressure when the pressure in the device becomes higher than the external pressure by the amount exceeding a specific value and stopping the releasing when the difference attains a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:A tank 3 containing a content 2 of an electric device (a transformer)1 used on a submarine bottom or the like is provided in the device 1, insulating oil 4 is filled in the tank 3, and a conservator 5 for compensating the variation in the volume due to the temperature change of the oil 4 is provided. An automatic pressure control valve 8 is connected through a pipe 9 via a partition wall 6 on the oil surface of the conservator 5, and a cylinder 7 sealed with compressed air is connected to the valve 8. A safety valve 10 is provided between the valve 8 and the pipe 9, the pressure in the tank 3 is released outside of the device when the pressure in the tank 3 containing the device 1 becomes higher than the hydraulic pressure outside of the tank 3 in the amount exceeding a specific value, and the releasing is stopped when the difference becomes smaller than the prescribed value, thereby improving the reliability of the device 1.
