Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent secondary disaster by providing a pressure releasing unit having a plurality of release films, compressing inactive gas between said pressure release films, and providing a valve which releases said inactive gas in time of the internal fault in the transformer. CONSTITUTION:The pressure release unit 5 is provided on the side wall of a tank 3 enclosing a transformer main body 1 and insulating oil 2. Said tank 3 is communicated with a pressure release chamber 7 by a connecting pipe 6. A plurality of the pressure release films 8A and 8B are provided in the connecting pipe 6 in the pressure releasing unit 5. Inactive gas is sealed between the pressure release films 8A and 8B at a specified pressure. Said part is monitored by a pressure monitor 10 and the pressure is controlled by a pressure regulating device 10. When a short circuit occurs in the inside of the transformer and the pressure in the tank 3 is increased, at first the inactive gas in the inside of the pressure release films is introduced into a negative pressure chamber 12, and the pressure increase in the tank 3 is eased. When the pressure release films are broken by the further increase of the pressure, the decomposed gas or oil in the tank 3 is introduced to the pressure release chamber 7. Thus the breakage of the tank can be avoided, and the serious secondary disaster can be prevented.
