Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve safety, and to facilitate maintenance by each mounting two kinds of breaking and non-breaking type pressure discharging devices independently to a hermetically sealed tank and cooperatively operating both pressure discharging devices in response to the magnitudes of the internal accidents of the transformer. CONSTITUTION:The interior 3 of the transformer and insulating oil are encased into a tank proper 1, a cover 2 is welded, and the tank proper is hermetically sealed. A bushing 5 and the interior 3 of the transformer are connected by connecting wires 6, and the main pressure discharging device 7 is mounted to the cover 2 and the auxiliary pressure discharging device 8 to the tank proper 1. With the main pressure discharging device, film plate 11 is set up between the end section of a pressure discharging cylinder 9 and a clamping plate 10, and a movable cover 13 is released by pushing it by a gas, which breaks the film plate 11 when pressure in the tank rises abnormally and is ejected. With the auxiliary pressure discharging device 8, a pressure discharging valve 18 and a spring 20 are mounted into a pressure discharging cylinder 16 so as to close a pressure discharging port 22 at all times and open the pressure discharging port 22 when pressure in the tank rises. The bore of the pressure discharging port of the main pressure discharging device 7 is made larger than that of the auxiliary pressure discharging device 8, and the auxiliary pressure discharging device 8 discharges pressure at pressure lower than the main pressure discharging device 7.
