Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the leak-proof performance by employing a specific brazing material as the jointing material between a ceramic material and a metal section of a hermetic seal section employing the ceramic material while coating the interface section with a metal. CONSTITUTION:The other pole terminal or a current collecting lead 8 is provided through a circular insulated separator 10 made of a ceramics through a metallic battery case 6 which is used as one pole terminal, thus to form a hermetic seal section. Here the metallic section or the case 6 and the current collecting lead 8 re insulated by a ceramics 10 which is jointed with the metallic sections 6, 8 through the brazing material 10b containing silver or copper while the metalized layer 10a and a galvanized layer 10c are placed. An acid-proof and alkali-proof metal such as coating layer 10d galvanized with nickel is applied at the interface end section between the ceramics 10 and the metal sections 6, 8 while covering the exposed face of the brazing material 10b.
