Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a SAW filter transducer electrode material with lower resistivity than that of aluminum by using a superconduction thin film as a transducer electrode material of the SAW filter. CONSTITUTION:The surface acoustic wave SAW filter consists of a piezoelectric substance 1-1, an interdigital transducer 1-2, a stripe 103, a lead wire 1-4 and terminals 1-5, 1-6. The stripe 103 constitutes an IDT 102 and the type of material is superconduction ceramic thin film. Thus, the electric resistance of the IDT electrode of the SAW filter is made principally zero. Then the insertion loss of the SAW filter is considerably reduced than the case with using aluminum.
