Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an even cutting width even at an unsteady work part, by irradiating a steady work part with a continuous beam and the unsteady work part with a pulse beam. CONSTITUTION:Since section A is a start part, a pulse beam of relatively short pulse width and period is supplied and cutting is started at a low speed. On an entry into linear work section B, a continuous beam substitutes and the cutting speed is increased to perform cutting of high efficiency with a high output at a high speed. In curve work section C, since the curvature is large, there is no need to change the current beam over to the pulse beam, but while the pulse width is increased relatively, the period is prolonged so that the cutting speed will not be reduced as much as possible. In linear work section D, the same conditions with linear work section B are set and in right-angle work section E, the same conditions with right- angle section A are set similarly. Thus, the pulse beam and continuous beam are alternated and the cutting is completed.
