Abstract

PURPOSE: To save energy and enhance cooling efficiency by a method wherein a hygroscopic body for temp. conversion is provided in an air conditioning passage and humidification of low humidity air is carried out by moisture removed from high humidity air and the dehumidification of the high humidity air is carried out again by a regenerated humidity exchange hygroscopic body.
CONSTITUTION: By driving a blower 7 in the air conditioning passage 1, the high humidity air (a) in a chamber is taken from an intake port 5 and dehumidified by the humidity exchange hygroscopic body 12 to obtain medium humidity air (b). Further, said medium humidity air is converted to low humidity air (c) by the dehumidifying higroscopic body 10 and, after said air (c) is cooled in a sensible heat exchanger 11, said air (c) is converted to low temp. air (e) by adiabatic humidification to be supplied into the chamber. On the other hand, in a regeneration passage atmospheric air is taken into from an intake port 8 by a blower 9 and, after preheated by the sensible heat exchanger 11, heated by a heater 13. Heated air (h) carries out heating regeneration of the dehumidifying hygroscopic body 10 and, thereafter, discharged thereform. During this operation, the humidity exchange hygroscopic body 12 and the dehymidifying hygroscopic body 10 are rotated respectively and continuous dehumidification and regeneration are carried out.
