Abstract

PURPOSE: To keep constant the voltage given to the load, by controlling the phase of switching elements with ease externally, which are connected between the AC power input and the load.
CONSTITUTION: A variable resistor 32 is provided at an inverting input terminal of an error amplifier 6 via a resistor 31, and it is located outside the device to draw out the current I0. The amplifier 6 is an operational amplifier which has a nagative feedback circuit of RC in parallel connection, and the output V3 is determined so that input voltage V1=V2 can be obtained at steady-state. When the current I0 flows, V3 changes correspondingly, resulting in changing the AC output V0. Since V0 changes in proportion to I0, the AC output V0 can continuously be adjusted by externally adjusting I0. In this case, when the variable resistor 32 is selected to a sufficiently smaller value than the resistor 31, the current I0, that is, the AC output voltage V0, is almost in proportion to the set value of the variable resistor 32, the width of change in V0 is determined with the resistor 31. Thus, even if the variable resistor 32 is in variation by ±20% or so, I0 is not subject to any effect and the variable resistance can easily by replaced.
