Abstract

PURPOSE: To stabilize the output of a DC-DC converter despite the fluctuation in a load, by providing the converter with a feedback circuit.
CONSTITUTION: When the level of the load is zero or small, a transistor Q5 is turned off and the large primary current of the DC-DC converter is suppressed by a resistor R1. When the level of the load is high, the primary current flows through the resistor R1 and a DC voltage +Vcc falls. At that time, the transistor Q5 is turned on because the potential on the voltage division point of a voltage divider circuit falls depending on the decrease in the DC voltage +Vcc. As a result, the primary current increases depending on the fall in the voltage. The DC voltages + Dcc, -Dcc are thus maintained at prescribed levels despite the fluctuation in the load.
