Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the output variable type AC constant-voltage unit which can operate the soft start circuit without delay smoothly, by setting the output voltage detection capacitor so that it can be adopted to the reference voltage after change, when the reference voltage is changed.
CONSTITUTION: The voltage across the load L controlled with the Triac 12 is given to the capacitor 24 via the transformer 21 and rectifier 22. The error amplifier 16 produces the control voltage VA with the voltage and reference voltage including the resistor 25 and controls the Triac 12 via the phase control circuit 150 and the pulse transformer. With the absence of the gate signal, the capacitors 46, 24 are charged up to the voltages VC, VB via the resistors 153 and 31 respectively, and the amplifier 16 produces the output voltage VA accompanied with it, and VA≈VB is obtained with the feedback circuit consisting of the transistor 41 and diode 45, i.e., soft start circuit. When VA is set to the operation start voltage of the phase control circuit, the circuit shown can perform soft start at all times even with the change in the reference voltage.
