Abstract
PURPOSE:To promptly stabilize the brightness of an exposing light source by controlling the conduction of a control circuit, which is operative to adjust the time until a preset brightness is reached in accordance with the voltage impressed upon the light source. CONSTITUTION:When a switch 4 is turned on, a transistor 30 takes an active region with a portion of the charge current, which is made to flow through the capacitors 36 and 27 of a compensating circuit 2 constituting a differential amplifier by an AC power source AC, to render a transistor 13 conductive so that a phase control circuit 1 is rendered conductive. As a result, an illuminating lamp 30 is supplied with a voltage through the circuit 1. This circuit is fed back to a circuit 2 through a transformer 21 and a bridge circuit 22 so that the brightness of a lamp 3 is controlled to be at a constant level by the voltage through the circuit 1. As a result, if the resistance of a variable resistor 37 of the circuit 2 is adjusted, the time for the transistor 30 to take an active region is controlled irrespective of the variations in the main voltage so that the brightness of the lamp takes a preset value without any overshoot for a desired rise time. Thus, it is possible to promptly and satisfactorily stabilize the brightness of the exposing light source.
