Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an optimum control of braking force by reducing brake pressure respectively with reduced speed corresponding to deceleration of wheels, while slip factor of the wheel is within a predetermined extent, and with reduced speed exceeding a predetermined value when the same factor exceeds a predetermined value.
CONSTITUTION: When current is supplied to a solenoid coil 14 of a pressure controlling valve 20, a movable pole member 42 moves upward to close a supply valve 44 while an orifice 53 is opened to reduce braking force in proportion to the amount of the current. When wheel speed is within a predetermined range of car body speed, the current corresponding to the deceleration of the wheel is supplied to reduce the braking force in proportion to the deceleration, and when the wheel speed is reduced to the minimum, larger current is supplied to reduce quickly the braking force. Thus, an optimum control of the braking force is provided.
