Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an optimum control of brake pressure by reducing the braking force with reduced speed corresponding to the degree of deceleration of wheels and rapidly increasing the braking force in a predetermined acceleration when slip factor of the wheel exceeds a predetermined value.
CONSTITUTION: When current is supplied to a solenoid coil 11 of a pressure controlling valve 20, a movable pole member 42 moves upward and a supply valve member 44 bears against a supply valve seat 37 so that a supply passage from a supply port 21 to an outlet 22 is closed. At the same time, the outlet 22 communicates to a drain port 23 through orifices 53 sequentially opened in response to the current so that braking force is reduced in proportion to the amount of the current. Since current corresponding to deceleration in the speed reduction of the wheel is supplied to the solenoid coil 11, the braking force is reduced in proportion to the deceleration. Since current is interrupted when the wheel is accelerated, the braking force is abruptly increased to provide an optimum control of the braking force.
