Abstract

PURPOSE: To effectively prevent a wheel from skidding in a railway vehicle of electric car or the like, by adjusting a pneumatic pressure regulator valve on the basis of speed of an axle applied with the lightest amount of axle load.
CONSTITUTION: At travelling operation of a vehicle in a direction of arrow mark B, if braking power is applied, an axle load is transferred to the first axle 9, reversely it seems for the fourth axle 10 to tend to decrease its load, and a skidding phenomenon of the axle 10 is generated. A speed generator 12 provided in the axle 10 transmits the skidding phenomenon to a speed detector 11, and a command from the detector 11 is transmitted to a pressure regulator valve 5 through a solenoid valve 6, then braking power is controlled by a brake cylinder. To the speed detector 11 a braking command is input as shown by an arrow mark C, and the action is performed on the basis of a detected signal from the speed generator 12 only when a brake is applied, simultaneously a series of action containing the genetator 12 is released when a skidding state is ceased.
