Abstract

The air distributor is for controlling a railway vehicle brake. It has a body which contains a main control assembly for air brake pressure and an adjusting assembly for pressure as a function of vehicle speed. the adjuster has a pressure deflector fitting. The deflector causes a differential pressure to be exerted to a brake pipe and a reservoir. There is a piston which can slide axially in the same direction as the deflector fitting. A choke so fitted between the deflector and the chamber receiving the brake control pressure. There is also a timer controlling a valve placed between the control device and the brake cylinders.
