Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the positioning accuracy by a method wherein a roller supported by an eccentric shaft is inserted in a V-shaped groove and a play between a rail and a roller is eliminated. CONSTITUTION:An X-Y coordinate system traveling table 8 is moved to a longitudinal direction by means of a facing rail 3 having a V-shaped groove 2a at its lateral side and a rotating roller 4 set in said groove 2a. Further, the branch shaft 7a of a guide roller 7 is of an eccentric type so as to move the shaft center line. Accordingly, a horizontal and a vertical play is eliminated between the rail and the roller and even if it is under a different circumstance of temperature variation, an error correction in conjunction with a thermal expansion or contraction of the constituent material is easily performed and the whole shape is flat, therefore, a traveling accuracy on a plane is excellent.
