Abstract
PURPOSE: The reaction of an N-haloalkanoylaminoacid or its salt with an alkali or alkaline earth hydrosulfide is conducted in water or a 1W3C alcohol to produce the titled compound used as a raw material for a remedy for hypertension economically in high yield.
CONSTITUTION: An aminoacid of formula I [X is halogen; n is integer of 0W3; R is H, methyl; Y is O, S, So, SO2, (CH2)m; m is 1, 2] or its salt is made to react with an alkali or alkaline earth metal salt with hydrogen sulfide in water or a 1W3C alcohol, preferably at 40°W100°C, when water is used or at 40° Wthe boiling point of the alcohol, when an alcohol is empolyed, further preferably in the presence of a catalyst of an inorganic iodine salt to give the compound of formula II using inexpensive reagents and solvent economically in high yield. The product is used as a raw material for an orally administered remedy for hypertension and enables the very ecomonical synthesis of the remedy.
