Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate an automation of a connection process by a method wherein two or more solar battery elements are connected in series through metallic plates between terminal part upper faces which are in a same plane. CONSTITUTION:As for a solar battery element 1, upon a substrate 2 is installed a non crystal semiconductor layer 3 and upon this layer 3, a surface electrode 4 is installed. Whereas, the semiconductor layer 3 is not coated over the whole surface of the substrate 2 and a plane 21 of one end part of the substrate 2 is exposed and on this part, a terminal part 22 is installed. The terminal part 22 is formed so that its upper surface may be positioned at an approximately same plane as the upper face of a terminal part 42 installed at an end part of the surface electrode 4. The connection of a conductivity substrate 2 of an element 1 with the surface electrode 4 of another element 1 is performed by bridging a metallic palte 6 between both upper faces of terminal parts 22 and 42 which are in an approximately same plane. The metallic plate 6 is bonded with both terminal parts 22 and 42.
