Abstract
PURPOSE:To stabilize properties and to improve preservability by composing an opposite side to a cathode of a separator layer in a battery employing manganese dioxide as an anode active element with unwoven cloth coated with polyvinyl alcohol. CONSTITUTION:A separator 5 which is made of unwoven cloth coated with polyvinyl alcohol is provided on the opposite side to a cathode 6 made of liquor-containing material 4 on the anode side. It is preferable to use cotton or nylon as the unwoven cloth and it is desired that the weight of the unwoven cloth is 50-100g/m<2> and the amount of the coated polyvinyl alcohol is 5-10g/m<2>.
