Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent internal short-circuit due to penetration of active substance by allowing ion permeable thin membrane having natural alkaline short fiber dispersed to be interposed on the boundary surface between the positive electrode and the separator made of natural fiber or synthetic fiber. CONSTITUTION:Between a negative electrode 2 in gel form and a positive electrode mixed agent made of manganese oxide and carbon black, a separator 3 is arranged. The separator 3 is constituted of porous layer 3-1 made of cellulose natural fiber or nonwoven fabric made of synthetic fiber such as nylon, vinylon, polypropylene, polyethylene etc., and ion permeable thin film 3-2 which is alkali-resistive and has short fiber in from several hundred microns to 1mm dispersed. The thin film 3-2 is formed by mixing short fiber made of nylon, acryl, cellulose etc. into polyvinyl alcohol, carboxymethyl cellulose, polyacrylic soda, gelatine, starch etc. which are gellatinized in electrolyte.
