Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the stability and reliability of detection with simple constitution by detecting a displayed number by a combination of an output voltage, induced at Hall elements or linear Hall IC, with its polarity.
CONSTITUTION: At the circumferential surface part of a discoid number wheel, numbers are formed and inside of it, a couple of comb-shaped magnetic bodies 12 and 13 having comb teeth 12aW12e, and 13aW13e formed radially and respectively are fixed in the center of number wheel 11. This couple of comb-shaped magnetic bodies have comb teeth arranged corresponding to numbers and a displayed number is detected by a combination of an output voltage, induced at Hall elements or linear Hall IC, with its polarity. Thus, the simple constitution can improve the stability and reliability of the detection.
