Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to measure the rotation angle and rotation frequency of a rotary body by using a multipolar magnetizing magnet disc without at least one magnetic pole at its thickness-directional part together with a combined magnetic sensor.
CONSTITUTION: In the constitution where electric magnetic sensors 3 and 4 are arranged close by the circumference of multipolar magnetizing magnet disc 6, at least one part 6a of magnetized part B with alternate S and N polos arranged at even intervals on the circumference of magnet disc 6 has no pole or a pole much different in strength from that of any other part. An electric signal based upon this different part 6a is used as an angle reference signal, so that the reference signal can be obtained which synchronizes completely with an angle signal.
