Abstract
PURPOSE:To make correction of the tilt of a processing electrode automatically by installing a sensing device for contact or approach of a processing electrode at the stationary part or processing table of the machine. CONSTITUTION:A processing table 8 is provided with an electrical contact-sensing electrode 9, which shall form a contact sensing device together with a power source 3, an interelectrode voltage sensing resistor 10 and a discriminator 11. A central control device 26 has a calculator circuit and performs logical calculation of tantheta from the counter input signal. If, for example, an inspection on the tilt in the direction along X-axis reveals that a feed of Z1 along Z-axis has given a displacement of X1 along X-axis, so we have the tilt from the following; X1/Z1=tantheta. theta represents the tilt angle of electrode 1 with respect to Z-axis, and the signal which will nullify this theta value are given to the X-axis and Y-axis motors 18, 19. Thus, the top of the supporting shaft 6 is moved fore or back between the electrodes 1 and 9 and automatic correction of the tilt angle into 0 is performed.
