Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain excellent temperature characteristics without reference to variance of characteristics of a semiconductor, by controlling the variable resistor, providing voltage control, with an output signal obtained by detecting variation in output voltage so that output fluctuations of temperature will be small.
CONSTITUTION: Analog switches are composed of CMOSs 20 and 21, and 22 and 23 respectively and their on resistances vary with gate-source voltage VG. For this purpose, voltage VG is controlled to eliminate manufacture variance of base-emitter voltage VBE between bipolar transistor TRs 1 and 2. Then, the output detecting and resistance control circuit composed of MOSs 10W13 detects output voltage VO and, if VO drops, reducing gate voltages of MOSs 20 and 23 by raising gate voltages of MOSs 21 and 22, thereby controlling values of on resistances so that the variation of voltage VO with temperature will be reduced. Thus, the constant-voltage power source circuit with excellent temperature characteristics can be obtained without reference to manufacture variance of base-emitter voltages of TRs 1 and 2.
