PURPOSE:To increase the degree of freedom as to a gain control range by providing as an emitter circuit a resistance between emitters of diodes serving as an emitter resistance and variable resistance. CONSTITUTION:In terms of value, collector resistances R1 and R2 and emitter resistances R3 and R4 can not be set freely owing to various requirements of setting the current of current supply circiit I0 to obtain minimum ON resistances of diodes D1 and D2, and direct-current voltages such as the base-bias voltage and direct- current output voltage of transistors Q1 and Q2. Providing resistance R5 between emitters of differential transistors Q1 and Q2, however, stops a direct current from flowing, exerting no influence on the setting of a direct current and voltage. The value of resistance R5 can therefore be set freely.
