Abstract
PURPOSE: To perform accurate work of automatically sailing a ship, by inputting a signal of bow azimuth simultaneously with the position information of the ship to an autopilot device.
CONSTITUTION: A sailing orientation-distance arithmetic unit 10, by using ship position data P1 at the time of automatic sailing start, transmitted from the output terminal of an automatic sailing start point memory unit 8 to one of the input terminals and data P3 of the present position of the ship transmitted from a terminal 7 to the other of the input terminals, calculates the orientation and distance of the position data P3 in relation to the ship position data P1 to transmit a direction α to the first subtracter 11 and distance P1-P3 to a multiplier 14.
