Abstract

PURPOSE: To permit die-casting in a desired pressurized state despite existence of variation in the temporary laminated thickness of an iron core and the improvement in quality by moving a movable die side liner in an outside circumferential ring thereby pressing the iron core.
CONSTITUTION: A rotor iron core 1 is inserted from the stationary die 6 side into an outside circumferential ring 15. After die clamping, a movable die 17 side liner 18 is pushed out to pressurize the iron core 1 under desired pressing force. In this state, molten aluminum is injected from a pouring gate through a sprue runner 8 into the die, whereby a cage type conductor consisting of the end ring part 10, fin part 11 and slot part 12 is cast. After the completion of the casting, the dies are opened and the movable die side liner 18 is pushed out forward, whereby a rotor is obtained. Hence, in this case, die-casting is made possible always in a desired pressurized state irrespective of the presence or absence of the variances in the temporary laminated thickness of the iron core 1, and even when the laminated thickness is changed, the dies are used as they are without replacing the outside circumferential ring 15 and intermediate die 5.
