Abstract

PURPOSE: To enlarge the red heat area per unit fuel consumption and to obtain a uniform red heat by not providing air holes in the lower part of a red heat zone within a space defined between an inner and outer flame cylinders.

CONSTITUTION: The inner flame cylinder 4 is closed at the upper end and provided a plurality combustion air holes 4' near the closed upper end. The red heat zone 5, which includes a plurality of similar combustion air holes 5', is coupled with a red heat receiving cylinder having no air holes to constitute the outer flame cylinder 6 in combination. These inner and outer flame cylinders 4 and 6 define a combustion space therebetween. The inner flame cylinder 4 is provided with no air holes in the lower part at the position A substantially corresponding to the red heat receiving cylinder, so that a gas regulating and uniforming space is formed between the lower part of the inner flame cylinder 4 and the red heat receiving cylinder. As a result, a combustion reaction can be eliminated in the lower part. Further, as the combustion air is fed only to the red heat zone, an extremely concentrated combustion can be obtained.
