Abstract
PURPOSE:To use red mud as part of raw materials for thermit and recycle precious resources by utilizing the red mud in place of Fe2O3, Al2O3, SiO2 as the main components. CONSTITUTION:Dry red mud is utilized as raw materials corresponding to Fe2O3, Al2O3, SiO2 among Al, C, Fe, Fe2O3, or Fe3O4, Al2O3, Si, SiO2 which are the compositions of thermit. At this time, silica and iron oxide or the like are compounded in order to make up the excess or shortage of Fe2O3 and SiO2. The same raw materials as those of the compositions of conventional thermit are used for raw materials other than Fe2O3, Al2O3, SiO2.
