Abstract
PURPOSE:To strengthen support of an armature coil and to reduce consumption of a high voltage-resistance insulator material, by making a main insulation layer of the armature coil thick at least at one place between coils of different phases, between coils of different layers or between grounding potential sections. CONSTITUTION:In a main insulation layer 19 of an armature coil 7, a high layer-to- layer voltage-resistance insulator 22 is provided on the side where the layer contacts an armature coil 7 of other layer, and this section of the insulation layer is made thicker than that of other section. Further, it may be possible to provide the high voltage-resistance insulator 22 on the side where the layer contacts an armature coil of other phase, or on the side where the layer contacts a grounding potential section. It is possible, by doing so, to prevent the high voltage-resistance insulator from deformation and strengthen support of the armature coil, and thereby it is possible to reduce consumption of the high voltage-resistance insulator materials.
