Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce operation and processing load and decrease the capacity of a memory for preset values, by utilizing an accurate address detection means for the motion stoppage control of stacker crane of an automatic warehoues and attain stoppage accuracy and stop position corresponding to the detection means.
CONSTITUTION: Detected pieces for rough addresses and plural detected pieces 16 for accurate addresses are provided in positions corresponding to stop plate places set in the moving passage of a crane body 5 or to the bays 11 of a shelf 2 and a home position 14 set outside one end of the shelf 2. The detected pieces 16 are located at small intervals in the moving direction of the crane body 5. A detector 17 for detecting the pieces 15 for rough addresses and another detector 18 for detecting the pieces 16 for accurate addresses are provided on the crane body 5. A control means is provided to find out the destination of a moving body in terms of a signal detected by the detector 17 for rough addresses and find out the stop position of the moving body having reached the destination, in terms of a signal detected by the detector 18 for accurate addresses.
