PURPOSE:To change positioning points easily by storing the set value of a positioning point in a storage device, and by comparing this value with the position corresponding value of a moving workpiece, detected by a position detector, by a coincidence detector. CONSTITUTION:A positioning request from an external controller 21 is set to a positioning-request flag 20, and a control circuit 25 stores a set value, corresponding to a positioning point from the flag 20 in a set-value memory 30. The position of a workpiece is detected by the position coders 5a-5n of a position detector 5, and their values are inputted to a coincidence detecting circuit 35 through a selecting circuit 36. The circuit 35 compares the set value from the memory 30 with the detection value passed through the circuit 36 and, when the two are coincident, sets a coincidence detection signal to a positioning end flag 40 to output it to the device 21 through an output circuit 41. Consequently, the positioning points are changed easily only by rewriting the storage contents of the storage device.
