Abstract

PURPOSE:To indicator a robot at origin by using an operation indicator lamp by insepcting whether the robot is located at the origin or not at every axis of the robot. CONSTITUTION:Origin and working position data are applied to a memory 21. The signal of position detector 22 in the robot mechanism 27 is applied to a central processing unit 32, which compares the signal with a target value of the data from the memory 21 to produce a deviation signal through input/output device 31 to a drive output device 33 to thereby drive a mechanism 27. The detection whether the robot mechamism is located at the origin or not is conducted by the steps of reading the origin position data from the memory 21, comparing it with the signal of present position from the position detector 22 by the central processing unit, and not producing the output signal to the drive output device when the deviation is within the allowable value but feeding the signal through the device 31 to an operation indicator lamp 35 to thereby indicate that it is zero or within allowable value.
