Abstract
PURPOSE: To establish the position control unit increasing the stop accuracy, by storing the moving friction of a moving body as the amount of work corresponding to the absolute position.
CONSTITUTION: Figure shows the position control unit of the unit correctly setting the position of slabs in a rolling mill line. Ahead the actual operation, the motor 5 moves the side guide 1 over the entire operating range. The friction corresponding to the position of the side guide 1 is stored in the friction memory unit 11 via the motor current detector 10. In actual operation, the position control unit 7 giving the position reference value P operates the position control signal with the present position of the side guide 1 obtained from the position detection 6 and the said reference position P, and the position control signal is fed to the decelaration curve correcting unit 12. The correcting unit 12 corrects the position control signal with the friction data at this time from the present position signal of the guide 1 and the memory unit 11 and the result is inputted to the motor 5 via a speed control circuit 8 and an amplifier 9.
