Abstract

PURPOSE: To attempt improvement of the volume efficiency and cooling capacity of a compressor, by providing between the motor and compressor sides a screening plate which prevents sucked low temperature gas from entering the high temperature section, and applying adiabatic materials to the high temperature member, so as to reduce the sucked gas temperature rise.
CONSTITUTION: A screening plate 11 with a notched section 11' or a hole 11" is mounted between the low temperature chamber on the side of a motor 2 acting as a passage of the gas flowing from a chamber suction port 4 and sucked into a compressor main unit 3, and the high temperature space on the side of the compressor 3 where high temperature parts or members, such as the compressor main unit 3 and its head cover 6 are located. This can prevent sucked low temperature gas form entering the high temperature space section. With adiabatic material applied to the high temperature parts, this reduces the heat transfer from the high temperature parts and the sucked gas temperature. As a result, the absolute amount of sucked gas can be increased and the volume efficiency of the compressor and its cooling capacity per unit be alao improved.
