Abstract

PURPOSE:To always perform an effective recording and to make a system smaller and its weight lighter by a method wherein a correction roller having a thin wire densely wound around the outer periphery is made to contact with an ink belt by means of an endless ink belt. CONSTITUTION:A correction roller 17 rotates by a friction force with an ink belt 17 and makes a melted ink of an ink pool 20 attach to the belt 13 to form an ink layer 35 having a flat and smooth surface and an optimum thickness. Next thereto, when a record signal or a preparatory signal that predicts an input is entered, a driving motor 24 is turned OFF to stop the belt 13 and at the same time, a suction device 30 is also turned OFF and a thermal head 25 is made to contact with the belt 13 through a recording paper 28 by means of a spring 29. When a record signal is entered, a time current flows through the head 25 to make a micro exothermic body of the head 25 radiate and by means of the heat, a micro part of ink on the layer 35 corresponding to the exothermic body melts and the melted ink is transferred to a recording paper 28, thus, a dot being recorded.
