Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture a food cotainer with a perforated wall in a simple process by heating/forming a thermoplastic resin foamed sheet properly provided with multiple linear holes. CONSTITUTION:Many linear holes (a) are opened on a thermoplastic resin foamed sheet (e.g. foamed styrol sheet) 1 by an indenting device 2. Next, the said sheet is heated by a heating device 3, so that a mutual space R at a center Q with an adjacent linear hole (a) is contracted, and the center of the linear hole (a) is opened, forming an orifice (b). After this process, the sheet is pressed by a shaping device 4, thus manufacturing a food container with orifices (tray) 10. The afore- mentioned indenting device 2 is composed of a rotary axis 5 with multiple rotary blades 4 on a receiving roll 6. It is possible to optionally select the shape, position, etc. of linear holes formed on the sheet 1 by changing the installation position of the rotary blades 4 and the shape of a blade edge 4a.
